About the Susu Savings Approach
A Susu is a popular savings practice that facilitates family and friends to build wealth together. A group of people contributes a specific sum of money monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly for a definite period. One group member collects the full amount every time until every member gets their turn to contribute. Everyone has an equal contribution and gets the entire lump sum amount once.
The Susu savings method promotes accountability in your journey to save the desired amount. You become a part of a trustworthy circle of individuals contributing towards your savings goal. It makes you practice savings and also helps others financially.

Make a payment.
Create a group and add people.
Download the app and create a Susu group. You can add up to 10 users using their names and phone numbers. The added users will get an automatic text to download the app, complete their registration, and enroll in the group. The group's creator will receive an in-app update and notification once added users complete their registration and enrollment.
Each member will receive a text payment reminder three days before and on the day payment is due. Members can pay the group manager using the selected payment methods. The group manager receives a text notification every time a payment is made, and the member status in the app will show the amount paid for that circle. Users will receive a confirmation once their payment is received. The total payment will be disbursed to the person receiving the payout.
Restart or create a different group.
Once everyone receives their payout, the group status will have a completed mark. The user can restart the same group or create a different group. If you restart, the same group text will be sent out to the members with their payout date and the start date of the Sou Sou. The group manager can amend a group after it has started and add/delete users.
